Montana's First Lady of Rodeo...

Miss Rodeo Montana 2013

Alyson Grinestaff

During the course of 2013 Alyson was derailed from completing the duties of Miss Rodeo Montana due to an injury. Miss Teen Rodeo Montana Alaini Lorash jumped in and took on the duties for the remainder of the year.

Originally from Red Lodge, Alyson Grinestaff now resides in Bozeman.  This statuesque 5’8” all-American beauty is the 23 year old daughter of Myra Pearce and Marcus Grinestaff. In high school, Alyson participated in Student Council, graduated as Salutatorian and spent time showing her reining horse, Zoe.  She served the Home of Champions Rodeo in 2005 as the Princess and came back to be the Queen in 2007 and 2008.

An ambitious student, Alyson graduated from Montana State University-Bozeman in 2011 with Honors and a BA in English Literature. While attaining her degree, Alyson delighted in spending time leading Bible studies with Campus Crusade. After graduating from MSU, Alyson did an internship with Journey Church in Bozeman and currently leads a Bible study for young women called “Riding for the Light”.

This tried and true cowgirl is most at home on the back of horse whether reining, working cows, cutting, barrel racing, or leading a pack string into the mountains. When not horseback, you will most likely find her freelance writing in a coffee shop, dancing and playing music with her family, outside hiking or skiing, or entertaining and cooking dinner with friends.

Alyson is incredibly excited to serve as an ambassador for the great state of Montana, championing the values and lifestyle of rodeo cowboys and cowgirls and all those dedicated to the western way of life this year as Miss Rodeo Montana 2013. Happy Trails and God Bless!
