    Talli Carmalt is the 17 year old daughter of Jeff and Nuggett Carmalt and sister to Alex and Trey Carmalt. She hails from Kalispell, Montana.

    Talli is a junior at Glacier High School and holds a 3.9 GPA. In 2012, she was the 1st runner-up to the title of North West Montana Pro Rodeo Princess. Talli enjoys riding horses, barrel racing, fishing, camping, hunting, playing soccer and basketball, as well as rodeoing. She also participates in 4-H, where she has won grand champion market steer and grand champion showman. Talli has attended clinics with Chris Cox and Miss Rodeo America. She enjoys singing and has sung the national anthem at several professional rodeos as well as the 495th Brigade departure ceremony.

    Talli’s career goals consist of first attending Flathead Valley Community College, then later transferring to Montana State University with hopes of eventually becoming an equine veterinarian.

    When asked why she wants to become 2014 Miss Teen Rodeo Montana, Talli says she would love this title because she would love to educate younger kids about the sport of rodeo. She would also love to represent Montana and be a role model to everyone out there while doing what she loves.

    Cassidy Shay O’Neil

    Cassidy Shay O’Neil

    Cassidy “Shay” O’Neil is the 18 year old daughter of Shawn and Marian O’Neil. She hails from Livingston, Montana.

    Shay is a senior at Park High School and is an Honor Roll student with a 3.2 GPA. Throughout the years, she has held several rodeo titles, including her most recent title of 2012 Miss Southwest Montana Rodeo Jr. Queen. She also is a member of TNT, student council, and Youth and Government. Shay currently serves as her FFA chapter’s secretary, is a student athletic trainer, and was her 4-H club’s treasurer for six years. Shay’s enjoys showing her paint horse and is very active in FFA. Her other hobbies include soccer, drawing, and helping younger 4-H and FFA members.

    Shay’s career goals are to get a college degree in equine management and one day own her own performance pain horse farm as well as become a certified AQHA international judge.

    When asked why she wants to become 2014 Miss Teen Rodeo Montana, Shay says she has had the dream of being Miss Teen Rodeo Montana since she was 13 years old and held her first queen title. She has always looked to the reining teen as a role model because she had such morals and values to her. She hopes to be that role model to those young girls, while promoting such a great sport in such a great state. Not only does she want to be a role model as well as promoter, but she also wants to be a teacher to those who do not get the chance to live in this state or to those who don’t get the chance to be involved with the sport of rodeo.

    Amanda Melton

    Amanda Melton

    Amanda Melton is the 16 year old daughter of Thomas and Lynelle Melton and sister to Mark Melton. She hails from Great Falls, Montana.

    Amanda is a junior at CMR High School. Her favorite sports are volleyball and hockey. She also loves watching football. Amanda enjoys working out, hiking, fishing, boating, snow-skiing, wake-boarding, bow-fishing, and last but not least riding horses. She has won numerous awards at the 4-H county horseshow, including grand champion in Western Equitation, reserve grand in Colt to Maturity, and reserve grand in Yearling at Hand. Amanda also was an “I like Charlie Russell because” essay winner, Patriot’s Pen Essay contest winner as well as she received first place in the FFA Creed Speaking contest.

    Amanda’s career goals are to receive her degree in nursing and become a forensic nurse.

    When asked why she wants to become 2014 Miss Teen Rodeo Montana, Amanda says she wants to represent the state where she has lived for 14 years of her life. She loves rodeo, and believes she would do an excellent job representing our state. When she was really young, she remembers going to the Montana State Fair and seeing Miss Rodeo Montana. In that moment, she wanted to be just like her- she was so beautiful, kind and gentle. That memory has stayed with her for over a decade and now she is competing for Miss Teen Rodeo Montana, chasing after her childhood dream.
