She currently competes for the IHSA Equestrian Team in both western and hunt seat teams. Her other hobbies include horseback riding, and spending time with her friends and family in the great Montana outdoors, especially fishing with her dad. She has been skiing and snow boarding since she was 4 years old and could easily call the Bridger Mountains home all year long.Her previous titles and competitions have helped to prepare her for this competition.

She was first crowned as Park County 4-H Rodeo Senior Princess in 2008 and then went on to become Miss Southwest Montana Pro Rodeo Queen in 2013, and Reigned as Miss Livingston Roundup in 2015. She would cherish the job of Miss Rodeo Montana 2017 and would be honored to represent the state and sport that she loves. Being an ambassador for rodeo has become a passion for Katie. Connecting with the children and sparking the dreams of future cowboys and cowgirls is something she looks forward to. Talking with the fans and sharing her love of Montana, rodeo and agriculture. Horses have always been her passion and it was the horsemanship part of the pageant that drew her into the rodeo queen world. "The personal growth and the great people you interact with are simply a bonus," said Katie. She would be honored to even have the opportunity to compete for Miss Rodeo Montana.
