Miss Rodeo Montana 2018

Kaitlin Kolka

Test, Speech, Horsemanship Personality, Projection & Presentation

Kaitlin is the 23 year old daughter of Dean and Jill Kolka of Broadus and Robin and Tom Nansel of Colstrip. Kaitlin is big sister to seven siblings and is active in youth leadership and community service. Her ambitions are to continue her education by attending graduate school at the University of Montana and completing her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and complete a second Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Her goal is to provide early intervention services for the youth of rural Montana. When asked why she wants to become Miss Rodeo Montana she responds, “When so many of your best qualities have been developed through growing up in a rodeo arena, it is only natural to want to give back to a sport you feel has given you so much. I want to be Miss Rodeo Montana because I want to advocate for the sport I love, to inspire the next generation of little girls to do the same, and to show the other 11 circuits that what we have in the Montana circuit is something pretty special. I want to be Miss Rodeo Montana 2018 because at 23, I am at a place where I can represent this great state and circuit with the maturity, professionalism, and dignity it deserves. I would be honored if a goal made at age 4, and a passion that has been present since the beginning, came to fruition.”
