Rachel Lowitt was born and raised in the Bitterroot Valley Montana just outside of Hamilton. She is 18 and recently graduated from Corvallis High School with honors in Agriculture Education. Rachel now works full time doing clerical work at a local medical practice an still works seasonally, part time at a local ranch where she’s been been employed since her freshman year.

In high school, Rachel dedicated her time to the Corvallis FFA chapter where she held positions on the Officer Team for two years, serving as Vice President her senior year. She competed in leadership and career development events such as Parliamentary Procedure, Ag Sales, Employment Skills, Livestock Judging and Agricultural Issues Forum. Rachel attended the National FFA Convention two years in a row. In 2021 on an earned scholarship and in 2022 with her Agricultural Issues team after taking first place at the state level. At the national level her team earned a bronze placing that year.

Rachel was an active member of Ravalli County 4H for ten years. She completed a variety of Livestock projects including market goat and breeding where she won many championships in the show ring, taking her to Round Robin several times. Rachel was also in the horse project where she constantly took home the western high point, showmanship, trail, and western equitation awards yearly. She also found a passion for shooting sports in 4H. Much like FFA Rachel loved to take on leadership roles which is why she served as her club’s president for three years and offered her time to the 4H Teen Council. She served as a Junior member on the Horse Committee Council for two years and now as volunteer holds an alumni seat. Rachel has many years of junior rodeo and local jackpots under her belt that have brought her to where she is today. Her love for horses started in the show ring and in the rodeo arena but in recent years has moved to the cutting pen. Rachel was proud to compete as a NCHA member and in the Treasure State Cutting Horse Association, and was their Youth Champion in 2022. In addition to her rodeo athleticism Rachel held the Rockin RC Rodeo Queen title in 2022 and the Miss Teen Rodeo Missoula Stampede title in 2023.

Rachel’s future goals are to resume a formal education, leaning towards a business degree. She will pursue certifications in Magnawave and Equine Message Therapy and continue to contribute to world of agriculture locally and beyond.
